Job summary

The Pump Room in Bath is looking for a Kitchen Porter to join the team and support the day-to-day running of the Pump Room and evening events. You will work closely with the team, ensuring to create a nurturing and positive environment for the team.

The hourly rate is £12.71, with a benefits package including pension, staff discounts, and generous leave. Experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is desirable but not essential; you will be part of a storied hospitality legacy with opportunities

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or cleaning experience desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food under chef direction.
• Keep kitchen and restaurant areas clean and tidy.
• Provide friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers.
• Be flexible to work in all kitchens, serveries, staff canteens and external reception spaces.
• Maintain all catering storage areas, ensuring organisation and cleanliness.
• Receive, count, inspect and store goods and/or equipment as required.
• Be involved with some food preparation and service when required.
• Report incidents, accidents, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities and take appropriate action.
• Report broken equipment to the Executive chef/ Head chef.
