Job summary

Blue Note London is seeking hardworking Kitchen Porters to join our opening kitchen team. This role keeps the kitchen clean, organised and fully equipped so our chefs can deliver excellent food and service daily.

Hourly pay starts at £14.00 plus tronc, with full-time and part-time opportunities. You’ll work in a bustling hospitality environment, backed by staff benefits and ongoing development. Great teamwork and reliability are key, with flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitise crockery, glassware, cutlery, cookware and kitchen equipment throughout service.
• Maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout all kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Assist with receiving, checking and storing deliveries.
• Remove waste and recycling safely and efficiently throughout each shift.
• Ensure all refuse areas remain clean, organised and compliant with health & safety standards.
• Support chefs by transporting ingredients, equipment and stock as required.
• Keep walk-in fridges, freezers and storage areas clean and organised.
• Clean floors, walls, work surfaces and kitchen equipment according to daily cleaning schedules.
• Assist with basic food preparation where appropriate.
• Report equipment faults or maintenance issues promptly.
• Ensure all cleaning chemicals are used and stored safely.
• Follow all food safety, health & safety and COSHH procedures.
• Support opening and closing duties.
• Assist the wider kitchen team wherever required to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a supportive team environment.
