Job summary

Village in Leeds is seeking a Kitchen Porter to underpin a busy kitchen team. You’ll dominate the dish pit, handle heavy lifting, check deliveries, and ensure the brigade has what it needs to service fast-paced shifts.

You'll keep equipment and crockery clean, manage hygiene in line with COSHH, assist with storing equipment, and act as the vital link that keeps service flowing. No ego, no drama, just reliable teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced kitchen environments preferred.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely.
• Knowledge of COSHH and hygiene best practices.
• Able to fetch, carry, and store equipment efficiently.

Responsibilities

• The Engine Room: Dish pit discipline and fast cleaning of equipment.
• The Standards: Hygiene and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• The Backbone: Support brigade with food and equipment.
• The Deliveries: Check in deliveries and verify invoices.
