Job summary

Titanic Hotel Belfast is seeking a Kitchen Porter to maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and assist in service periods. You will follow cleaning schedules, clean equipment, and keep back-of-house areas tidy, while adhering to safety and chemical-handling guidelines.

The successful candidate will support the team, follow core values, and be prepared for additional duties as required to uphold high standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience as a kitchen porter or similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to work as part of a busy kitchen team.
• Willingness to learn and follow procedures and schedules.
• Comfort with chemicals and cleaning equipment following safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen clean to the required standard at all times.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned and returned promptly during busy periods.
• Follow the daily/weekly cleaning schedule accurately.
• Clean the staff restaurant after service.
• Maintain cleanliness of back-of-house corridors.
• Follow correct usage and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Report any suspicious incidents promptly.
• Attend training sessions as required.
• Report lost and found property promptly.
• Be willing to take on additional duties when needed.
• Adhere to TITANIC core values and dress code.
• Comply with fire, health and safety regulations and first aid procedures.
