Job summary

Côte Brasserie in St Albans is hiring a Kitchen Porter to join our Back of House team, helping keep the kitchen clean, safe and well organised so our chefs can deliver high-quality dishes. You’ll operate the dishwasher, ensure crockery and pots are ready, manage basic cleaning supplies, and assist with light food preparation when needed, while following food safety and health & safety standards.

This role offers a competitive hourly rate plus service charge, with fortnightly pay and staff meal

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen and back-of-house areas spotless, safe and organised before, during and after service.
• Operate the dishwasher and ensure crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are clean and ready when the team needs them.
• Keep cleaning supplies stocked and support the kitchen with basic food preparation when needed.
• Manage waste and recycling safely and responsibly.
• Observe equipment faults or hazards and report them to the team.
• Support the chefs wherever you can, especially when the kitchen is busy.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards at all times.
