Job summary

Class 1 Personnel is seeking Kitchen Porters for a busy private school in Worthing. You will join a team delivering high standards in a challenging environment.

Shifts are Monday to Friday with competitive hourly rates and free food on shift. A DBS certificate is preferred/required, and a driving licence is optional.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Kitchen Porters is preferred.
• DBS certificate is required.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to shift instructions and carry out kitchen duties.
• Wash up, clean, sweep and mop floors as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment in the kitchen.
• Know COSHH and HACCP principles and apply them.

Seeking Kitchen Porters looking for their next challenge!

You will be joining the team at a stunning private school in Worthing. Are you ready to support service fit for the cildrens life changing day of learning and activities? With stakes this high everything is held to very high standard with no detail overlooked.

Offering generous and competitive hourly rates of £13.50-£14 per hour based on skill and experience and free food on shift!

Shifts are Monday to Friday

We welcome motivated porters who are:

• Able to work within a team and independently


• Able to work confidently in busy or unfamiliar environments


• Reliable, punctual, and professionally presented


• Strong communicators who work well under pressure


• Knowledgeable about food safety and hygiene procedures


• Flexible with shifts (daytime, evenings, weekends)


• Experience as a KP is preferred


• Driving licence is preferred but not required


• Hold a full enhanced DBS Certificate

Your role may include but not be limited to:

• Adhere to all responsibilities instructed at the start of your shift


• Understand and follow all back of house duties such as using machines, washing up by hand, sweeping and mopping floors, emptying refuse bins, cleaning the kitchen area


• Maintain a clean, safe working environment


• Know your chemicals, COSSH, HACCP


• Step into short-notice temporary shifts with confidence


• Meet uniform standards such as safety shoes, cleaned and ironed uniform
