Job summary

William Strike Ltd, at Strikes Garden Centre, is seeking a part-time Kitchen Porter to join our restaurant team. The role supports front and back of house by ensuring a steady flow of clean crockery and equipment, with training on pot wash operations and maintaining a tidy, productive work area.

Hours total 16 per week over 2 days, with weekend shifts and flexible hours. Competitive hourly pay and staff benefits are provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.
• Dispose of waste using appropriate recycling bins.
• Take care to avoid breakages.
• Ensure crockery and dishes are cleaned properly before use.
• Clean equipment and working areas to high food hygiene standards.
• Close down kitchen each day and prepare for the following day.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Understand and apply food hygiene requirements.
• Communicate effectively with the team.

We are looking for a Part Time ##employmenttype## Kitchen Porter to join the team in our Restaurant in Strikes Garden Centre.

Our competitive rates of pay range from £10.40 to £12.75 per hour dependent on age.

The hours for this role are 16 per week over 2 days. All positions include weekends working so flexibility is a must.

The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you will provide a critical service to both our front and back of house operation ensuring a constant supply of clean crockery, cutlery and equipment. You will be trained in the safe operation of the pot wash equipment and take responsibility for a productive and clean work area.

What you will be doing as a Kitchen Porter?

• Using equipment, process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.
• Make sure waste is disposed of using appropriate recycling bins
• Take care to avoid breakages
• Ensure all crockery and dishes are cleaned properly before being used
• Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
• Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
