Job summary

Chartwells Independent is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our catering team. This 35-week-per-year role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced kitchen and values cleanliness and food safety.

You will work as part of a supportive team, maintain kitchen areas, assist with basic food prep, and help with deliveries. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career development within Compass Group UK&I.

Qualifications

• Previous Kitchen Porter experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, food preparation areas and workspaces.
• Washing pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils to the highest standards.
• Supporting the team with basic food preparation activities.
• Assisting with the receipt, loading and unloading of deliveries when required.
• Using kitchen equipment and machinery safely and correctly.
• Following all health, safety and food hygiene procedures.
• Completing required training and development programmes.
• Providing general support to the catering team to help deliver an excellent food service.

We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our catering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
