Job summary

Hetland Hall Hotel, part of the RAD Hotel Group, is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support our busy kitchen team in Dumfries and Galloway. The role focuses on keeping areas clean and safe, assisting with basic food prep, and maintaining a well-organised kitchen. We welcome applicants with or without prior kitchen experience who are reliable and eager to learn. As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll support the kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness and organisation, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience and take on more responsibility in a fast-paced kitchen.

Part of the award-winning, family-owned RAD Hotel Group, Hetland Hall Hotel is a beautiful country house hotel located in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway. We are passionate about providing our guests with unforgettable experiences and are looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our established team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Cleaning crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment.
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and hygienic.
• Assisting with basic food preparation as directed by the Head Chef.
• Supporting the kitchen team with various tasks as needed.
• Ensuring work areas are kept clean, tidy and safe throughout service.
• Assisting with waste management and maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene.
• Supporting the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but not essential.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
