Job summary

Thistle Heathrow is seeking a flexible, energetic kitchen assistant to support the kitchen brigade by keeping areas clean, washing dishes, mopping floors, and assisting with basic food preparation and storage. Located close to Longford, off Bath Road, near Heathrow Terminal 5, this role contributes to exceptional hospitality.

You will work to high hygiene standards, collaborate with team members, and help deliver smooth kitchen operations for guests and events at the airport hotel.

Salary: £13.00 per hour + tronc

Located close to Longford, just off the Bath Road, Thistle Heathrow is an Airport hotel which delivers a warm welcome no matter how long or short the stay. It has 264 bedrooms and 14 meeting rooms, the largest one seating up to 700 people - meaning it is also an extremely popular local wedding venue. It is the only hotel that has direct access to Heathrow Terminal 5 by POD in just 5 minutes.

What you’ll be doing

In this key role, you will support our entire kitchen brigade, ensuring that every aspect of the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include keeping all areas clean and tidy, washing dishes, mopping floors, stacking and unpacking dishwashers, recycling, and addressing the basic health and safety needs of the kitchen environment. You may also assist with basic food preparation and storage, contributing to our commitment to exceptional hospitality.
