Job summary

Berkeley Scott Recruitment is actively recruiting Kitchen Porters for temporary assignments across Sheffield and the surrounding areas. The role involves supporting kitchen staff, cleaning duties and basic food prep in schools, care homes, events, and contract catering venues.

Roles offer flexible shifts, weekly pay, and ongoing placements to fit your schedule. Experience as a Kitchen Porter, Kitchen Assistant or Catering Assistant is preferred, with Food Safety and Allergen qualifications

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter, Kitchen Assistant or Catering Assistant.
• Food Safety and Allergen qualifications, or willingness to complete Enhanced DBS with child barring, or willingness to obtain, for school-based roles.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Chefs, Catering Managers and kitchen teams.
• Washing up and ensuring all kitchen equipment and utensils are clean.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and catering areas.
• Assisting with deliveries, stock rotation and storing food and supplies.
• Supporting with basic food preparation and general kitchen duties.
• Setting up and clearing down kitchen and service areas.

As a Kitchen Porter, Your Duties May Include
