Job summary

The Inn Collection Group, home to the Bamburgh Castle Inn in Seahouses, is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our busy seaside kitchen. You will help maintain top hygiene standards, support the kitchen team and ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced pub with rooms.

Working at Bamburgh Castle Inn, you’ll contribute to an award-winning hospitality group and enjoy a welcoming team culture, practical training, and varied duties in a stunning coastal setting.

Qualifications

• Basic food hygiene knowledge and safe handling practices.
• Ability to work quickly and as part of a team.
• Flexibility and presentable appearance.

Responsibilities

• Wash up and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area.
• Assist with basic food preparation and line mise en place.
• Support the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and cleanliness.
• Follow cleaning schedules and health & safety guidelines.

You’ll Fit Right Inn

As Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen team by maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene. Your positive attitude, teamwork skills, and willingness to learn will be essential as you manage the wash-up area, ensure kitchen equipment cleanliness, and assist with basic food preparation.

You’ll work closely with team members and customers, demonstrating confidence and courtesy in all interactions. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to personal presentation. You’ll be responsible for keeping the kitchen running smoothly by following the cleaning schedule and taking on other general duties as directed.
