Job summary

Côte Brasserie in London is hiring a Kitchen Porter to support our Back of House team, keeping the kitchen clean and well organised so chefs can deliver the highest quality dishes.

You’ll be part of a close-knit kitchen, handling dishwashing, basic cleaning, waste management and helping with simple prep during busy service. A positive, reliable attitude is essential.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen and back-of-house areas spotless, safe and organised, before, during and after service.
• Operate the dishwasher and ensure crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are clean and ready for use.
• Assist with basic food preparation and keep cleaning supplies stocked.
• Manage waste and recycling safely and responsibly.
• Watch for equipment faults or hazards and report them promptly.
• Support chefs during busy periods to keep service smooth.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards at all times.

What You’ll Do

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll be an essential part of the kitchen team, helping keep everything behind the scenes running smoothly so our chefs can do what they do best.

• Keep the kitchen and back-of-house areas spotless, safe and organised, before, during and after service.
• Operate the dishwasher and make sure crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are clean and ready when the team needs them.
• Keep cleaning supplies stocked and support the kitchen with basic food preparation when needed.
• Manage waste and recycling safely and responsibly.
• Keep an eye out for equipment faults or hazards and let the team know when something needs attention.
• Support the chefs wherever you can, especially when the kitchen is busy.
• Follow our food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards at all times.
