Job summary

De Vere Cranage Estate in Holmes Chapel is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the busy kitchen team. You’ll help with cleaning, stock organisation, and keeping equipment and work areas spotless and ready for chefs.

This is a hands-on role requiring good fitness and reliability. Full training is provided, with opportunities to learn more and progress within the De Vere kitchen group.

Qualifications

We’re looking for a Kitchen Porter to join the kitchen team at De Vere Cranage Estate in Holmes Chapel.

As a Kitchen Porter with De Vere you’ll

work at the heart of our busy kitchen, helping to keep everything clean, organised and running smoothly. You’ll make sure kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas are cleaned and ready when the team needs them, while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

It’s a hands‑on and physical role where you’ll be on your feet and working as part of a busy team. You’ll help with deliveries, moving equipment and keeping kitchen and storage areas organised, getting involved wherever you’re needed to support the brigade.

And if you’re interested in becoming a Chef, there may be opportunities to get involved with basic food preparation, learn from the chefs around you and develop your skills. It’s not an expectation of the role, but for those who are keen, a Kitchen Porter role can be a great place to start a career in the kitchen.

This role involves working predominetly late shifts from the hours 14.00pm - 22.30pm to include weekends on a rota basis. however mid shifts from 11.00am - 19.30pm and early shifts 07.30am - 15.00pm are at times are available

• Previous kitchen or cleaning experience would be helpful, but it’s not essential as full training will be provided.
