Job summary

The Wordsworth Inn in Grasmere, part of The Inn Collection Group, is preparing to open its doors and we're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team and be part of an exciting new chapter from day one. With 55 bedrooms, 196 internal covers and 148 external covers, this is a substantial, food-led operation with ambitious plans, located in the heart of Grasmere.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to food hygiene standards.
• Positive attitude and good teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a busy kitchen.
• Able to follow cleaning schedules and assist with basic prep.
• Flexible with shifts and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Support kitchen team by maintaining the wash-up area.
• Keep kitchen equipment clean and in good working order.
• Assist with basic food preparation as required.
• Collaborate with team and front-of-house to ensure guest satisfaction.

You'll Fit Right Inn

As Kitchen Porter, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen team by maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene. Your positive attitude, teamwork skills, and willingness to learn will be essential as you manage the wash-up area, ensure kitchen equipment cleanliness, and assist with basic food preparation.

You'll work closely with team members and customers, demonstrating confidence and courtesy in all interactions. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to personal presentation. You'll be responsible for keeping the kitchen running smoothly by following the cleaning schedule and taking on other general duties as directed.
