Job summary

The Social Hub in the United Kingdom is seeking a Kitchen Porter to become the heartbeat of our kitchen, helping keep dishes and surfaces spotless and supporting the chef team. You’ll train on-site and grow with a dynamic hospitality group across Europe.

No experience is required; we welcome a team player with attention to detail and a flexible attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• No experience required; full training provided.
• Experience in cleaning or support roles is a plus.
• Able to work on your feet in a busy kitchen.
• Strong teamwork and communication.
• Comfort with following hygiene rules.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment quickly and thoroughly.
• Keep floors, surfaces, and bins clean to set routines.
• Ensure kitchen areas, storage and prep spaces stay spotless.
• Assist kitchen team with basic tasks, like unloading deliveries.
• Store kitchen tools properly to support workflow.
• Follow hygiene and food safety rules like HACCP.
• Handle cleaning materials and gear safely.
• Spot and report issues or hazards immediately.

As Kitchen Porter at The Social Hub, you're the heartbeat of the kitchen. You keep everything clean, organized, and running like clockwork behind the scenes. From spotless dishes to sparkling surfaces, your work helps the entire kitchen team shine.

Whether it’s helping unload deliveries, making sure everything’s in its right place, or staying on top of hygiene standards, you’re essential to a smooth, safe service. You’ll work closely with the chefs and kitchen staff, picking up the skills and rhythm of a professional kitchen along the way.

What You’ll Do

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment quickly and thoroughly
• Keep floors, surfaces, and bins clean following set routines
• Make sure all kitchen areas, including storage and prep spaces, stay spotless
• Help the kitchen team with basic tasks when needed – from unloading deliveries to organizing stock
• Keep kitchen tools and equipment where they belong to support an efficient workflow
• Follow hygiene and food safety rules like HACCP
• Handle cleaning materials and gear safely and responsibly
• Spot and report any issues or hazards right away

What You’ll Have

• No experience needed, we’ll train you
• Some experience in a cleaning or support role is a plus
• Comfortable working in a busy, active environment on your feet

• Strong attention to detail and a sense of pride in cleanliness
