Job summary

Dobbies Garden Centres Ltd is hiring a Kitchen Porter to support our restaurant team by delivering clean, well-presented meals and ensuring food hygiene standards are met. You will work with chefs and front-of-house colleagues to keep the kitchen running smoothly in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in kitchen.
• Food safety qualifications preferred.

Job description

Our Kitchen Porters play an essential role in delivering an exceptional customer experience across our Restaurants - delivering tasty food, ensuring food hygiene and maintaining high operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Working proactively and supporting general kitchen duties
• Ensure smooth running of restaurant operations including cleaning, dishwasher operations and equipment availability
• Working alongside the kitchen team to ensure your customers are presented with their meal to a high standard and on time
• Developing your knowledge of dietary requirements, allergens and health & safety

• A team player and confident communicator who is eager to learn new skills and gain new experiences
• Flourish in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Experience of working in food service
• Knowledge and understanding of kitchen health, safety and hygiene rules
• Relevant food safety qualifications would be ideal
