Job summary

Dobbies Garden Centres is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support our restaurant operations and deliver great customer experiences. You will assist with general kitchen duties, maintain cleanliness, and support the kitchen team to present meals to a high standard and on time.

We value team players who communicate well, thrive in a busy environment and are eager to learn about dietary requirements, allergens, and health and safety practices. Prior food safety knowledge would be ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in food service.
• Knowledge and understanding of kitchen health, safety and hygiene rules.
• Relevant food safety qualifications would be ideal.

Our Kitchen Porters play an essential role in delivering an exceptional customer experience across our Restaurants - delivering tasty food, ensuring food hygiene and maintaining high operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Working proactively and supporting general kitchen duties
• Ensure smooth running of restaurant operations including cleaning, dishwasher operations and equipment availability
• Working alongside the kitchen team to ensure your customers are presented with their meal to a high standard and on time
• Developing your knowledge of dietary requirements, allergens and health & safety
