Job summary

The Fleece in Cirencester is seeking a friendly Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team. You will help maintain cleanliness, support chefs and help with basic food prep.

You should have a positive work ethic, be able to work under pressure, and take pride in food safety and organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen is a plus.
• Willingness to follow hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen.
• Support chefs with daily tasks and routine prep.
• Carry out scheduled deep cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment.
• Assist with basic food preparation when required.
• Store and handle food safely and in line with company standards.
• Work with initiative, stay motivated and meet time pressures.

• Maintaining the standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
• The Kitchen Porter role is a key support role for our chefs so you will need to undertake any tasks asked of you
• Scheduled deep cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment
• May include basic food preparation
• Organising and storing food safely to comply with company standards
  You will be self-motivated and be able to work on your own initiative.
• Demonstrating a good work ethic and a commitment to achieving team goals as well as an ability to work under pressure and time constraints You should have a good working attitude and enjoy the buzz of working in a busy kitchen environment
