Job summary

The Grand Hotel Birmingham Limited is seeking a Kitchen Porter in Birmingham to support our kitchen team. You will handle pot washing, keep crockery and utensils clean, and help maintain a spotless, well-organised kitchen. Flexibility to cover various shifts is required to meet guest needs.

Responsibilities

• Work the pot wash, making sure that all crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are correctly cleaned
• Ensure all dishes are clean and put away safely and securely
• Correctly dispose of all food and general waste produced by the kitchen
• Help keep the bin stores organised
• Keep the kitchen to a high level of cleanliness, ensuring all floors are frequently swept and mopped
• Be flexible to jump into any roll within the kitchen when needed
• Contribute to creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests and colleagues

Our Kitchen Porters are an essential role in our team

They primarily ensure the chefs have the tools to meet the guest needs and iIt is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to gain early experience in a kitchen setting.

Full Time - 40 hrs per week - £26,511.80 per annum

Due to the nature of the role, shift requirement may include days, evenings, weekend and bank holidays.

Typical shift patterns might look like:

07:00 - 15:30 / 09:00 - 17:30 / 15:30 - 00:00

What the role will involve
