Overview

Reporting to: Head Chef. About the role: We have a selection of restaurants at the resort, so our kitchens are busy environments. Your main responsibility will be to ensure all kitchen cleanliness and assist with general food preparation. We have a dedicated brigade of kitchen porters, so we are seeking people with excellent, hard-working attitudes. Galgorm Collection offers internal opportunities for our employees, so our kitchen porters often progress onto kitchen assistants. Responsibilities

• Washing dishes, pots, and the provision of the required equipment in the kitchen.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dishwashing areas including walls, fridges, floors, racks, and anything else required by the chefs.
• Assisting chefs with basic food preparation.
• Following all Company and Statutory Fire, Health, Safety, and Hygiene Regulations.
• Responsibility for the security and safe handling of all equipment used.
• Carrying out any other duties set by Senior Chefs in the kitchen.

Skills and Qualifications

• Must be able to use their own initiative and be able to work well under pressure.
• Have a flexible approach to working shift patterns and be available to work days, evenings, and weekends.
• Have the ability to communicate well with other team members.
• Have previous experience working in a kitchen.

Further Information

Full-time, shift patterns available ranging from early mornings, daytimes, and evenings. Shifts primarily 4-5 days out of 7. Galgorm Spa & Golf Resort (Ballymena).

Location: Ballymena, Galgorm Hotel. Salary: £12.52 per hour. Contract Type: Permanent. Weekly hours: 35. Vacancies: 3. Worktime: Shifts vary, Monday - Sunday, mainly evenings.
