Job summary

Stonegate Group is seeking a Kitchen Manager or Kitchen Team Leader to drive kitchen operations at Slug & Lettuce, Derby. You’ll coach and mentor the team, maintain high standards, and develop the kitchen in line with brand expectations.

Responsibilities include hiring and onboarding, scheduling, stock checks, cost control, and close collaboration with front-of-house to boost sales and guest experience. COSHH and food safety knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people coaching experience in a kitchen environment.
• Strong food knowledge and high standards across all kitchen operations.
• Up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety and health & safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Hire and onboard new team members in an inclusive manner.
• Lead, guide and develop the kitchen team with ongoing training.
• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards and a safe workspace.
• Manage kitchen scheduling to meet labour targets and costs.
• Conduct regular stock checks to control costs and meet targets.
• Collaborate with front-of-house to drive sales and growth.
