Job description

We are delighted to have been asked to recruit for this Kitchen Managers position for an established and successful company - a leader in their sector, that continues to trade well in the current climate. You will work alongside the general restaurant manager.


The Kitchen Manager we are looking for will have a high volume fresh food background with a mix of experience gained in production, and the branded and independant restaurant/cafe/pub/hotel sectors.


The offer is quick service in style with a morning breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea offer served in lovely relaxed surroundings. All delivered with attentive service putting the customer experience at the heart of everything they do.
It is a very busy operation so you absolutely need some volume experience.

A massive bonus is that it is a day time only operation, so you will have a great work life balance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all day to day aspects of the kitchen
  • Prepare and cook the all fresh company core menu
  • Control labour, the GP, stock and wastage
  • Recruit, train and develop your team
  • Maintain high standards, compliance and company systems & procedures
  • Work closely with the FOH restaurant team
  • Work to company targets and KPIs'

KEY EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Experience as a Kitchen Manager/Head Chef gained in high volume branded and independent fresh food restaurants, pubs, cafes or hotels
  • Excellent people, communication and people management skills
  • A hands-on lead from the front approach and a very keen eye for detail
  • Passion for cooking with fresh produce and experience cooking core spec menus
  • An intrinsic understanding of legislation & compliance
  • The ability to motivate and enthuse people and teams to deliver results
  • Strong leadership, coaching and motivational skills
  • A positive and outgoing personality and outlook
  • IT literate - working with systems & process
