Job summary

Constellation is seeking Kitchen & Logistics Porters to support busy catering operations at the NEC. You will help keep kitchens clean, organised and efficient while supporting both kitchen and event teams.

Roles involve washing, receiving deliveries, setting up hospitality areas and assisting with event builds. Ideal candidates are 18+, reliable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with safety and hygiene at the core.

Qualifications

• Aged 18 or over.
• Previous Kitchen Porter or catering experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Hardworking, dependable and able to work effectively in a busy environment.
• Team players with a proactive approach and the ability to use their own initiative.
• Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Flexible, positive and willing to support different areas of the catering operation when needed.
• Comfortable working in an environment where alcohol is served and handled.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitise pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain clean, organised and safe kitchen, storage and back-of-house areas.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures.
• Receive, move and store deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Complete cleaning schedules to the highest standards.
• Support the wider kitchen operation to ensure seamless service during events.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety, Food Safety, Hygiene, Manual Handling and COSHH regulations.
• Assist with moving furniture and setting up hospitality areas for events.
• Support event build-ups by moving equipment, units and barrels as required.
• Undertake scheduled deep cleaning duties, including kitchen equipment, floors, storage areas and food preparation spaces.
