ITS Property Maintenance is seeking a Multi-Trader (Kitchen Fitting) to join their planned works programme for social housing. Based in Southampton, you will cover the South Hampshire GU postcodes and work on kitchen fitting, carpentry, plumbing, and tiling tasks as part of a wider team.

You must have your own 110V power tools and hand tools, a full UK driving licence, and transport. The role is long-term temp (3 months+), paying £30–£31 per hour CIS, with PAYE options discussed.

Qualificações

• NVQ 2/3 or time served is acceptable.

Working with a contractor on their housing association planned works contract fitting kitchens

Based in Southampton covering the South Hampshire GU postcodes

Due to increased workload my contratcor are looking to increase their inhouse workforce with an additional multi-trader who will be working on their planned kitchen fitting programme.

You must have your transport a company van is not supplied with this role

Key elements of the role and your responsibilities

• You will be covering the South Hampshire GU postcodes
• For this role you should be able to demonstrate a core skilled trade of kitchen fitting and the ability to undertake a range of multi-trade duties including:
• Carpentry including fitting kitchen units, fitting worktops with joining strips
• 1st and 2nd fix plumbing
• Like for like plumbing (sink install, taps, and any piping work changes back to wall)
• Tiling (mainly splash backs)

All flooring, decorating, electrics, tiling, plastering, kitchen strip out and waste removal will be undertaken by other trades

• Experience of working in Void residential properties and ideally in a social housing setting
• The ability to advise your supervisor on any issues or challenges that require additional support
• Complete daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken
• Working in a timely and productive manner ideally a 3 day kitchen turnaround

What you need to bring to the role as the successful applicant to the

• Strong carpentry, plumbing or other core trade background with the ability to carry out multi-trade works
• You should have a NVQ Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 or the ability to show that you are “time served”.
• Your own 110v power tools and hand tools
• Basic IT skills as you will be using a PDA
• Extensive knowledge of maintenance repair worksPrevious experience of social housing repairs, voids, or planned works
• Adher to company health and safety guidelines
• Work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
• Tidy work ethic, making sure all adjoining work areas are kept clean and damage free

You must a full UK driving licence

Hours and pay

• £30 - £31 per hour
• Working hours of 8am - 4.30pm

To achieve the upper pay bracket you must show good experience of working on social housing repair contracts.

The advertised rates are based on working CIS but a PAYE and holiday payment method and rate can be discussed, but this will mean a slight reduction in the advertised headline rate.
