Job summary

Vintage.com, based at Overland Park, Morley, Leeds, is seeking a Facilities Operative (Kitchen) to manage daily kitchen and canteen tasks. The role supports food preparation, service and hygiene, working closely with the Kitchen Team Leader to maintain high standards in a busy workplace.

The position is full-time with a fixed late shift, focusing on safe handling, efficient service and a welcoming staff experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen, canteen or similar hands-on environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to keep areas clean and organized.
• Ability to follow food hygiene, allergen, cleaning and safety procedures.
• Reliable and proactive with good service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, cooking and serving of food in line with planned menus and food safety requirements.
• Set up kitchen and serving areas for service, ensuring food, equipment and supplies are in place.
• Serve food to colleagues in a friendly, helpful and efficient way during busy periods.
• Keep hot and cold food at correct temperatures and replenish supplies throughout the day.
• Label, date, rotate and dispose of expired items; raise concerns promptly.
• Keep kitchen and dining spaces clean, hygienic and ready to use.
