Job summary

Stow Healthcare Group is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant to join our catering team in one of our care homes. Working under a chef, you will help prepare simple meals, keep the kitchen spotless, and follow recipes and food safety standards.

The role offers full-time, daytime hours from 8am to 6pm, with alternate weekends. No formal experience required; training is provided, and you’ll enjoy benefits such as a uniform, DBS, pension and staff meals.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment preferred.
• Able to keep kitchen tidy and clean.
• Willing to learn and support the team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the chef with meal preparation and food presentation.
• Keep the kitchen clean and hygienic to high standards.
• Support colleagues during busy periods and ensure timely service.
