Job summary

Aspen Court Nursing and Dementia Care Home is seeking a Kitchen Assistant in Taunton to support meal delivery in a clean, well organised kitchen. You'll assist with food prep, stock and deliveries while working closely with the Chef and team to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

This hands-on role offers a clear routine, a supportive environment, and opportunities to build experience in a dedicated care kitchen. DBS paid, pension and uniform provided, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable approach
• Good organisation and attention to detail
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high quality meals in a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment.
• Assist with food preparation and stock organisation; help with deliveries and storage.
• Work closely with the Chef and wider team to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely.
• Contribute to a consistent routine and develop experience in a supportive kitchen setting.
