Job summary

Boutique Care Homes is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen and catering team at Keymer Hall. The role focuses on safe, high-quality meal preparation and a clean, well-organised kitchen to serve residents, staff, and visitors.

You will work 30 hours per week, every other weekend, with a positive, team-focused environment. The role emphasises safety, hygiene, and collaboration across departments to deliver excellent food service.

Qualifications

• Good people and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Flexible in approach and able to work as part of a team.
• Attention to detail in food handling and cleanliness.
• Able to lift and carry items as required by cooking duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meals delivery to residents.
• Carry out cleaning duties in the kitchen according to schedule.
• Prepare vegetables, salads and snacks for service.
• Receive, check and store kitchen deliveries safely.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards in line with regulations.
• Record activities and report supply needs to the Chef.
