Job summary

Somerset Larder in North Petherton, United Kingdom, is hiring a committed kitchen operative to produce food to the highest standards. You will follow recipes and manage allergens while preparing, packaging and dispatching salads, cakes and ready-to-eat items.

Working hours include a 42-week rota with early Sundays and rotating shifts; there is a strong focus on hygiene and team support within the kitchen and at the burger van.

Qualifications

• Some food related experience is preferred.
• Willingness to achieve Food Safety Level 2 qualification.
• Ability to work safely with allergens and sharp tools.

Responsibilities

• Produce food in cold rooms, kitchens, bakery and salad room to required standards.
• Follow product specifications and recipes.
• Work safely with allergens and sharp tools; prepare, package and dispatch salads, cakes and ready-to-eat products.
• Maintain hygiene and perform personal clean downs of work areas.
• Support Chef colleagues in the kitchen and at the burger van.
