Job summary

Somerset Larder is seeking a hands-on Catering Assistant to support the Chef Managers at Hinkley Point C. You will help with food service, take payments, clean equipment and maintain stock control to ensure high food-safety standards.

The ideal candidate will hold Level 2 Food Safety, be a reliable team player with good cash handling skills, and hold a UK driving licence. This full-time role runs 39 hours per week, with a starting rate of £14.57 per hour and a comprehensive benefits menu.

Qualifications

• Customer care and customer service experience, preferably in a catering environment.
• Problem solving with the ability to navigate short-notice hurdles.
• Understanding of NNB working methods and security/vetting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chef Managers and Front of House in food preparation and cooking.
• Serve meals, snacks and drinks and handle payments.
• Clean equipment, crockery and cutlery as required.
• Maintain stock control and record checks as directed by management.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety & Quality Management System.
