Job summary

Henderson Group in Northern Ireland is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for a full-time 42.5-hour week. You will help move, store and rotate goods in the kitchen, pack and label products, and present them for display in-store while ensuring correct labelling and records.

Reporting to the Chef, you should enjoy cooking with fresh ingredients, assist with stock control and ordering, and work across deli and bakery areas as needed. Flexible hours and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a catering or hospitality kitchen environment.
• Experience with budgets and/or targets is desirable.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods-in and ensure compliance with quality and shelf life.
• Rotate stock to use older products first and reduce waste.
• Assist Chef and Cook in ingredient preparation.
• Support stock control procedures and ordering.
• Perform kitchen porter duties and keep production areas clean.
• Label printing and ensure accurate print details and dating.
