Job summary

Templeton House Care Home in Ayr is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to help prepare and serve meals in a clean, well-organised kitchen. The role is day shifts with flexible hours and the option for full-time or part-time contracts.

You will support food preparation, cleanliness, deliveries, and stock organisation while collaborating with the Chef and team to ensure meals are prepared to a high standard. Training and a supportive environment are provided.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen.
• Help with food preparation, cleaning, deliveries, stock storage and organisation.
• Work closely with the Chef and wider team to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
