Job summary

Nazareth invites applications for a Kitchen Assistant at our Plymouth care home. You will support general food preparation, meals service and kitchen cleanliness, working as part of a friendly team.

Full training will be provided. The role emphasises safety, hygiene and time management, with references and a DBS/PVG disclosure required.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, with a flexible, energetic, and hard-working approach.
• A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable, or willingness to undertake training to gain it.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving food.
• Preparing residents' meal trolleys and trays to the specified standard.
• Participate in general kitchen duties as required.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
