Job summary

Bupa UK is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for Edmund House Care Home in Ashby, Scunthorpe. You will support the kitchen team to plate meals, prep food trolleys and ensure prep areas are clean, while linking with residents to deliver a warm, home‑like dining experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Ability to plate meals and assist with food trolleys.
• Strong communication with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assist chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure prep areas are clean and tidy.
• Monitor stock rotation, follow COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Assist with catering for events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
