Job summary

Avante Care & Support Ltd. in Westgate-on-Sea is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to help create delicious, nutritious meals that bring comfort and joy to residents, while supporting a warm, welcoming dining experience.

You’ll prep fresh ingredients, assist the Cook, serve meals, and keep kitchen and dining areas clean and hygienic, while following hygiene standards and contributing to menu planning with residents, aligned with Avante’s Eden Alternative Philosophy.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role or related catering environment.
• Interest in nutrition and residents' wellbeing.
• Willingness to learn and follow food hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Prep fresh ingredients – fruits, vegetables, and more
• Assist with meal preparation and support our Cook/Head Chef
• Serve meals and ensure mealtimes are enjoyable for residents
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, safe, and hygienic
• Follow food hygiene, safety, and nutritional standards every day
• Help plan menus with input from residents
• Ensure high standards of care in line with Avante’s Eden Alternative Philosophy
