About the Role

Your role as a Kitchen Assistant involves supporting food preparation and maintaining a clean environment to ensure the safe production of beverages and meals, delivering high-quality service to residents. Other responsibilities include:

  1. Understanding safe food handling principles to uphold hygiene standards.
  2. Contributing to team efforts, responding positively to colleagues, and promptly following work instructions.
  3. Assisting with the supply and quality of kitchen items, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacements.
  4. Respecting the dignity and individuality of residents and their visitors in all interactions.
About You

To succeed in this role, you should embody our values of caring, supportiveness, honesty, respect, and accountability. Our ideal candidate will:

  1. Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
  2. Possess knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
  3. Be an efficient worker capable of sustained physical effort and responding to a demanding workload.
  4. Show initiative and a positive, flexible attitude towards team working.
  5. Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.
