Position: Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Kitchen Assistant. If this sounds like the right place for you, we would love to hear from you!

About the Role

Your main focus as a Kitchen Assistant is to support the catering functions, including food preparation and maintaining a clean environment to ensure the safe production of beverages and meals, delivering high-quality service to residents. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Understanding the principles of safe food handling to maintain hygiene standards.
  2. Contributing to team work, responding positively to colleagues, and promptly completing work instructions.
  3. Advising on the supply and quality of items used, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacements.
  4. Respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident and acting accordingly towards residents and their visitors.
About You

To succeed in this role, you should embody our values of caring, supportiveness, honesty, respect, and accountability.

Our ideal candidate will:

  1. Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
  2. Have knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
  3. Be an efficient worker capable of sustained physical effort and responding to a demanding workload.
  4. Show initiative and a positive, flexible attitude towards team working.
  5. Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.
