Job summary

Willows Care Home in Romford is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support meal service in a clean, safe kitchen environment. This hands-on role helps ensure meals are prepared to a high standard and that food safety and hygiene practices are followed.

You will assist with food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and help with deliveries, storage and stock organisation, working closely with the Chef and wider team to keep the kitchen running smoothly and safely at all times.

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable approach.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.
