As a Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals that residents love, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Your responsibilities include managing food supplies, training new staff, and cleaning, all with a focus on Resident wellbeing.
We prefer candidates with some kitchen experience and an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or the willingness to obtain one. Strong organizational skills, good record-keeping, recipe following, and considerate communication are essential. You must also recognize signs of abuse or neglect, attend safeguarding training, and know how to escalate concerns appropriately.
