Job description

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will serve food sourced from Apetito, providing a healthy and nutritious diet essential for our residents' wellbeing and enjoyment of daily meals. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards in the kitchen and during food preparation. We seek reliable, considerate, and caring individuals.

This role involves working 3 days per week, from 08:30 to 14:30, including every other weekend.

We are part of a family-run business within the Wood Care Group, and our employees are valued.

About You:

We are looking for kind and caring people eager to make a positive impact. You should also have:

• Previous experience in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
• Experience working in a busy kitchen setting.
• A committed and organized approach.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexibility to work shifts.

Other Duties:

• Attend staff meetings.
• Maintain personal and professional development, participate in training, and support staff development.
• Understand safeguarding responsibilities, reduce abuse or neglect risks, and adhere to safeguarding and whistleblowing policies.
• Provide evidence of completed training.
• Follow fire procedures and health and safety legislation to ensure a safe working environment.
• Complete all required training.
