McMullen & Sons Ltd. in St Albans is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our long-established family run business. You will support kitchen operations, assist chefs, and help maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in a busy kitchen environment.

We offer structured pay bands by age, a competitive salary, bonus scheme, shift flexibility, weekly pay, tips, enhanced maternity/paternity pay, and industry-relevant apprenticeships to grow your skills within the McMullen family.

• Under 18 £8.95 per hour
• 18-20 £10.90 per hour
• 21+ £12.76 per hour

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and closing down the kitchen ready for service or the next trading session
• Keep the kitchen and all equipment clean, tidy and hygienic at all times
• Ensure that the kitchen does not run out of clean crockery and cutlery during service
• Be a team player, helping and assisting the Chefs when required
