Job summary

Berkeley Scott Limited seeks reliable Kitchen Assistants for temporary assignments in school kitchens across St Albans and surrounding areas. Working on an agency basis, you will support basic food preparation, wash up and clean equipment, keep the kitchen tidy and hygienic, and help serve meals to pupils and staff.

Assignments follow school hours, offering flexibility across term time. Prior kitchen experience is beneficial but reliability and a willingness to learn matter most.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months UK kitchen experience.
• DBS check for Child Workforce or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Berkeley Scott seeks reliable Kitchen Assistants for temporary assignments in school kitchens across St Albans and nearby areas. Working on an agency basis, successful applicants will support basic food preparation, wash up and clean equipment, keep the kitchen tidy and hygienic, and help serve meals to pupils and staff. Assignments follow school hours, offering flexibility across term time. Candidates should be hardworking, comfortable following food hygiene procedures, and able to work as part of a team. The rate is £12.71 to £14.50 per hour, plus holiday pay, on a temporary contract. Prior kitchen experience is beneficial but reliability and a willingness to learn matter most. We are recruiting reliable and hardworking General Kitchen Assistants to work in school kitchens across St Albans and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with basic food preparation.
• Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and hygienic kitchen environment.

Requirements

• A clean Enhanced DBS check for the Child Workforce, or willingness to obtain one.
