Job summary

Hartford Care Ltd. is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to help prepare nutritious meals in a clean, hygienic kitchen within our Sidmouth care home. You will be part of a friendly team delivering home‑cooked meals and ensuring residents receive quality dining experiences.

In this role you will assist with serving, washing up, and maintaining a tidy, safe kitchen environment while upholding the values of creating communities and caring for each other.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a kitchen environment and follow hygiene standards.
• Good teamwork and a caring approach preferred.

Job description

The Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be assisting in the provision of nutritious meals under hygienic conditions while being aware of and act in accordance with current food laws and regulations, and working together as a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere. Whether you are preparing vegetables for a curry night, delivering a resident’s breakfast to their room, washing up after the lunch period, or assisting residents with a baking morning you will do so with care at the heart of everything you do.
