As our kitchen assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our care homes kitchen.

What you'll be doing
  1. Supporting the Chefs in the planning and provision of high-quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents
  2. Plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals that meet dietary requirements
  3. Ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and ensure that safe methods of work are always used
  4. Manage all stocks and stores ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place
  5. Maintain accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirements such as fridge temperature checks

  1. Proven experience working in a similar catering role, ideally in a care or similar environment.
  2. Committed to customer care and first-class service provision
  3. Knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations
  4. Empathy and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our residents
  5. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and on own initiative in a fast-paced environment
  6. To share our values and demonstrate them at all times. "Can-Do" flexible team worker, problem fixer, passion for what they do, ability to manage diverse and demanding workload, think out of the box, open to doing things differently
