Job description

We are a Japanese & Korean restaurant located in SW12 London offering the highest quality of traditional Korean and Japanese food. The Umi is currently offering Delivery and Takeaway services, and the restaurant has reopened. We are looking to recruit an experienced, passionate kitchen assistant, ideal for someone committed to maintaining high standards of service and operations. Students are also welcome (we offer sponsorship and can provide a visa if you are the right candidate).

Job Title:

Chef (Kitchen Porter, Food Packing)

Location:

SW12 London

Responsibilities:

1. Run and supervise any kitchen section to the standards set by the Head Chef.
2. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the designated section.
3. Support the Head Chef in delivering the required standard of food and cleanliness.
4. Maintain a positive and proactive attitude, seeking to improve skills and performance.
5. Comply with all health and safety regulations, Staff Code of Conduct, and company policies.
6. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef and management.

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in an Asian restaurant as a kitchen assistant.
• Genuine interest in food and excellent customer service.
• All-round team player.

Job Details:

• Type: Part-time
• Salary: £12 – £13 hourly
• Schedule: Flexible, including weekends and 10-hour shifts
