About You
Your role as a Kitchen Assistant involves preparing and serving nutritious meals, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and ensuring resident wellbeing is always prioritized. You will manage food supplies, assist with equipment, and keep work areas spotless.
We are looking for someone with kitchen experience, or the willingness to obtain an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation. Strong organizational skills, good record-keeping, and the ability to follow recipes are essential. You should communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to respond appropriately. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and to seek advice and escalate concerns when necessary.
