Kitchen Assistant

Hours: Full Time 32 hours (Working alternate weekends)

Location: Woodleigh Nursing Home, Mansfield, NG19 7AG

Our team at Welford Healthcare is looking to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant/Assistant Cook to assist with delivering quality meals to our residents in the care home. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the kitchen or develop a career in catering. You will help ensure that our residents' dietary requirements are met.

Responsibilities of the Kitchen Assistant:

• Support the Chef with meal preparation and delivery for residents
• Prepare fresh ingredients for various meals
• Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen environment in line with Health and Safety regulations and the home's standards

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
• Clean crockery, cutlery, and food preparation equipment
• Assist in meal preparation for service
• Prepare food and ingredients for service
• Cook meals

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Caring and compassionate nature
• Catering or cooking experience
