Kitchen Assistant Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will serve food sourced from Apetito, providing a healthy, nutritious diet vital for our residents' wellbeing and enjoyment of daily meals. Your responsibilities include maintaining high standards in the kitchen and during food preparation. We seek reliable, considerate, and caring individuals.

This role involves working 3 days per week from 08:30 to 14:30, including every other weekend.

We are part of a family-run business within the Wood Care Group, and our employees are important to us.

About You

• Previous experience in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
• Experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
• A committed and organized approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts.

Other Duties

• Attend staff meetings.
• Maintain personal and professional development, participate in training, and support staff development.
• Understand safeguarding responsibilities, reduce risks of abuse or neglect, and adhere to safeguarding and whistleblowing policies.
• Provide evidence of completed training.
• Comply with fire safety and health and safety legislation.
• Complete all required training.
