Job summary

The Botanist Leeds is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join The New World Trading Company family. You’ll help keep the kitchen clean, well organised and running smoothly, supporting chefs and the service team with prep and service tasks.

We value a strong work ethic and team spirit; prior food prep helps but isn’t essential. The role offers training and opportunities to grow within a busy hospitality group.

• Prior food preparation experience is helpful but not essential.

• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
• Cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils and workspaces.
• Supporting deliveries and stock organisation.
• Assisting the kitchen team during service.
• Following food safety and health & safety procedures.
• Prepare food batches for service following prep lists and par levels.
• Follow kitchen specifications and measurements when preparing ingredients.

The Botanist Leeds are hiring a Kitchen Assistant!

We're looking for Kitchen Assistants who take pride in keeping things organised, clean and running smoothly. You play an important role in keeping the kitchen operating efficiently by maintaining hygiene standards, preparing food batches, and supporting chefs with essential kitchen tasks.

You work closely with the chefs on shift to ensure the kitchen remains well organised, equipment is clean and ready for use, and ingredients are prepared according to spec.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen
• Cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils and workspaces
• Supporting deliveries and stock organisation
• Assisting the kitchen team during service

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for people with a strong work ethic who enjoy working as part of a team, take pride in their work and thrive in busy environments.

Previous food preparation experience is helpful but not essential.
